Since we have registered Merit Badge Counselors on staff, just bring your blue cards and we will sign off on the tasks covered at camp.

Here is a list of BSA Merit Badges and the Camp Tonkawa programs you can attend to earn them:

• Wilderness Survival: Wilderness Survival Skills Camp
  *This is the most popular camp for Boy Scouts! The leaders enjoy it too.
• Camping: Basic Camping & Outdoor Cooking
• Hiking & Backpacking: Backpacking Camp

nature & animals

• Nature Related Badges: Nature Awareness Class
  (Includes Fish & Wildlife Mgt, Insect Study, Mammal Study, Nature, Reptile & Amphibian Study)
• Animal Science: By Request / Horsemanship Day Camp
• Horsemanship: Horsemanship Day Camp

crafts & history

• Indian Lore: Native American Indian Camp
• Leatherwork: Deer Hide Tanning Class
• Basketry & Pottery: Can be a craft at any session

science & environment

• Forestry: By Request / Arbor Day
  (Can be tied into Paul Bunyan Woodsman Award)
• Gardening: Organic Gardening Camp (Spring/Fall)
• Astronomy: Added to any camp (Weather Permitting)

We can work with you to design a weekend camp that will allow your Webelos to earn two badges in one trip!

• Camper: Basic Camping Skills
  (Also fulfills Arrow of Light requirement)
• Cast Iron Chef: Outdoor Cooking Camp
  (Works well paired with the Camper Badge!)
  
• Into the Woods: Arbor Day Celebration
  
• Webelos Cast Away: Set up to attend Primitive Survival with an older BSA troop, where Webelos will split off to work on another badge.
  
• By Request Only: Webelos Walkabout, Build It, and Into the Wild.
