A fun-filled overnight adventure for "Horse Lovers" to play, learn, and connect with our horses! Review basics, test your skills on obstacles, and enjoy woods trail rides and campfire songs.

SUMMER DAY CAMP OPTION

Start: First day at 9:30am
End: Last day at 5:00pm
Cost: $250 per person

Space is Extremely Limited!

Each person will need their own horse for the weekend, so the class size limit is strictly 6 to 8 riders. Extra classes will be scheduled as needed. Minimum registrants required to run.

Prerequisites & What to Bring

mANDATORY PREREQUISITE

You must have completed the Basic Horsemanship Day Camp prior to attending this overnight, OR you must be pre-approved if you currently get regular horse experience.

PACKING LIST:

Helmet: Don't forget yours! (We have some available if you forget or don't own one)
Bed Roll: Sleeping bag and a cot (if you want) to sleep around the campfire
Food: Bring your own lunch for the FIRST DAY only.

Curriculum & Riding Activities

Camp will begin by reviewing the basics (haltering, leading, grooming, tacking up) and then riding the horses to pair each horse and rider up for the camp activities!

Horsemanship Skills: Proper posture, cueing, and gaits
Horse Obstacles: Test your skills and connection with your horse
Ground Games: Fun games to play with your horse

Chuck Wagon Meals & Sleeping Under the Stars

Chuck Wagon Dinner

Dinner will be a Chuck Wagon-type Dutch Oven affair, just like the Cowboys of yesteryear would have experienced! We will conclude our first day with a campfire and songs.

*Note: You must bring your own lunch for the first day. All other meals are provided!

Sleeping Arrangements

An experience of sleeping under the stars is unforgettable! Bring your bed roll/sleeping bag to sleep around the campfire. If the weather mandates, we will set up tents or sleep in the hay barn.
