Camp Tonkawa provides a variety of forms to help families and group leaders register for programs quickly and efficiently. These forms allow our staff to gather necessary information to ensure each camper has a safe and organized experience. Completing required paperwork ahead of time helps our team prepare and ensures participants can jump into their outdoor activities without unnecessary delays.

Thank you for choosing to register for a Camp at Tonkawa Outdoor Learning Center. We’re glad you’re coming!


Registration Directions


  1. Call April at (940) 440-8382 or email april@camptonkawa.org to verify that the camp date is current.
  2. Fill out the Registration form below.
  3. How to send deposit and payment, mail in a check or venmo. Venmo name: @CampTonkawa
  4. You may complete the form online or print the form and mail it in with your deposit. If it’s less than 3 weeks to your camp date, please mail in the full payment.
  5. Bring to camp with you the filled out Permission Slip/Hold/Harmless/Medical Release. One release per individual is required.

Summer Camp Registration Forms

Families enrolling their children in Camp Tonkawa Summer Camps will be asked to complete registration forms that help our staff prepare for each camper’s visit.



Summer camp forms typically include information such as:


  • Camper name and age
  • Parent or guardian contact information
  • Emergency contact details
  • Program or camp session selection
  • Basic health and safety information


These forms allow our instructors to understand each camper’s needs while ensuring that camp activities remain safe and well organized.


Because Camp Tonkawa summer camps run from Memorial Day through the Fourth of July and fill quickly each year, completing registration forms early helps secure a camper’s place in their preferred session.

Campers attending overnight camps will also complete participation forms that provide important information to camp staff.

Participants interested in attending Camp Tonkawa workshops will also complete registration forms prior to the event. These forms help us organize workshops efficiently and ensure that participants are properly registered.

Preparing for Your Visit to Camp Tonkawa

Once registration forms are completed, campers and visitors can look forward to a meaningful outdoor experience at Camp Tonkawa. Our programs focus on hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and environmental education while helping participants build confidence and develop valuable life skills.


Camp Tonkawa provides a welcoming environment where campers can explore nature, learn wilderness skills, and participate in activities such as archery, horsemanship, survival skills training, and nature exploration.

  • How do individuals pay for a deposit or a camp?

    First, please contact April at (940) 440-8382 to verify that the camp is indeed being held for that date (all camps require a minimum number of campers).

    Venmo: Search username @CampTonkawa, which will send money to the account of April Holtzman, Camp Founder and Executive Director. Please use the friends and family option that does not charge a fee.

    Make a note to include the following


    1. Campers name
    2. Troop number if it applies
    3. Date of camp
    4. Name of camp you are paying for.
  • How does a group pay for a deposit or a camp?

  • What is your deposit and refund policy for individuals?

    Half of the price of the camp or event is a nonrefundable deposit. Full payment is due 14 days prior to the start of the event, or at the time of the booking if the event is less than 14 days away. In case of attendee-initiated cancellation, 50% of the amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) will be refunded if you cancel 29 to 15 days prior to the event date. If you cancel on the 14th day before the event date, 25% of the amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) will be refunded. Because supplies and materials will be purchased at that time, no refunds will be given for a cancellation within 14 days of the event start date.

  • How do groups register?

    Fill out the registration form for your group. Please see the FAQ regarding the deposit and refund policy for large groups or the deposit and refund policy for troops/small groups below; your deposit will vary with the size of the group. Deadlines for remaining balances are listed in the deposit policies of the FAQ. Mail the deposit with the registration form to secure the date for your group.


    Bring the Permission Slips to camp with you or email them prior to your arrival, one per family group.

  • What is your deposit and refund policy for large group events?

    For Girl Scout Service Unit or similar multi-troop events: $50 nonrefundable deposit per troop at time of booking. Full payment is due 45 days prior to start date of the event. In case of attendee-initiated cancellation, 50% of amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) is refunded if you cancel 30 or more days prior to the event date, and 25% of the amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) will be refunded if you cancel between 30 to 15 days prior. No refunds after 14 days prior to the event.

  • What is your deposit and refund policy for troops/small groups?

    Troops/small groups: $100 nonrefundable deposit at the time of booking. Full payment is due 30 days prior to start of the event. In case of attendee-initiated cancellation, 50% of the amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) is refunded if you cancel 29 to 15 days prior to the event date, and 25% of the amount paid (less the nonrefundable deposit) will be refunded if you cancel 14 days to the event. No refunds after 14 days prior to the event.

  • What is your inclement weather policy?

    Camps and events go on, rain or shine. We only cancel in the event of severe weather, as defined by the National Weather Service for Collinsville, Texas. In the event of a cancellation due to severe weather, we will work to reschedule your event or camp.


    In case of horsemanship camps, we reserve the right to cancel in the event of rain. Our decision to cancel will be made the day before the event. In the event of a cancellation due to severe weather, we will work with you to reschedule your event.
